We Deliver C-Level Optics for the New Amorphous Realm of Management
As a former C-Level and a current senior management advisor with planning, strategy, operations, marketing and sales experience honed in large global and boutique start-up operating companies as well as a trusted advisor to corporate executives, I have found that we all suffer the same fate: we are stuck in the “Matrixx”.
Let us reflect: minute-by-minute focus on quarterly results, Sarbox, analyst briefings, investors, the latest internal re-organizational plan, customer meetings, channel relations, sales mix, financial engineering, acquisitions, branding, competitors, segmentation, the supply chain, pricing, et al. All necessary but slight variations on the industrial era style of running a business with forced functional structures, command and control, defined markets, well understood sector value-chains, controllable key success factors, visible and vertically integrated value-chains. In short: The Matrixx.
Meanwhile tremendous outside forces keen to transition from the agricultural to the industrial to the information technology era are at work. But we struggle to grasp it. Buzz words abound: knowledge economy, information society, global network, social computing, the wireless era.
All true but holistically un-descriptive of the transitional stage upon us. To that end, the Matrixx Advisory delivers two tools: insight in to and outside of the Matrixx and techniques to navigate between the two while navigating the mother ship. These tools and models are intended strictly for three principal C-Level audience: the Chief Executive Officer (CEO); the Chief Strategy Officer (CStraO) and the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Generally, following a strategic plan development process with the CEO, CStraO and the CMO, if desired by the client, we then employ models and proven operating-company approaches for alignment with the other C-Level functions (i.e. the CFO for acquisition financing strategy to fill a white space) as well as the SBUs for development of market plans yielding into a corporate-wide operating plan.
